Beast was a real inspiration. When I joined the corps, Beast was there to teach me how to drum. He was much more than an instructor, though; he was a mentor to all. He would give anyone the shirt off his back. He will be greatly missed. I will always remember what a great friend he was to everyone, and the great times we had in the Knights.

My Prayers go out to Jim's Family.
Jim was a great friend and an inspiration to many. We called him "Beastie" :-) I always admired his Love and Compassion for those around him, and for his dedication to the Knights Drum Corps. I meet Beastie in 82' pounding on 2×4's for bass drum practice in Ken's Garage. I was hooked on Drum Corps. He gave me a place to stay for the summer with Dave "ABE" Benson and Mr. Jay Grim. What a way to enter Drum Corps. :-) !!!!

Beastie will be missed by many…

My prayers go out to Jim's family. Brother Jim "The Beast" Wildemuth was the first friend I made in corp back in the fall of 1968. He taught me dedication, determination, and corp loyalty. I will always remember his teaching skill. A smack on the shoulder with his drum stick if I made a mistake. I had a nice bruise after a couple of hours but I never made the mistake again.
