There has been some talks to form a Knight’s Alumni Organization in the near future. The purpose is 3 fold;
1. Preserve the history and memory of the Knights Drum and Bugle Corps
2. Facilitate future reunions of Knight’s Alum
3. Promote Drum and Bugle Corps, and associated activities (Winter Guard, Drum Corps, Drum Lines, and even Marching Bands). This also includes scholarships to children of Knight Alum so they can march Drum and Bugle Corps, the formation of an alumni corps, or even donating money to a down on their luck type of corps.
To initially help with this moving forward please respond to this with your suggestions.

The last reunion was great. But when one of the speakers said it would be the last one, I thought "Why? Says who? What are they going to do us if there is another one… make us march the Houston Block?" :-)
i am def goin to be at the next reunion my only reason in 06 is that i was in the hospital having a baby….i so can not wait to see everyone it has been was to long….
You forgot 4) To generate enough funds to UN-fold the Knights and put a full corps back on the field by 2012!
Working on Number 4 too.
As you know my wife and I have set up a $1500 scholarship with BK to honor "Geno." We are going on our 4th year of presenting it. I am not sure what else we can do to help. Since I voluntuld like to keep the scholarship with them. We have some restrictions on our scholarship and go through extensive interviews.
The parents need to be involved and volunteer with the corps…since that was what my dad was all about. AND, we don't want to give it to someone who uses the corps as a stepping stone to go to another corps to win a championship and get a ring. I marched 7 years with the Knights and never, ever thought about going somewhere else. ONCE A KING ALWAYS A KING BUT ONCE A KNIGHT IS NEVER ENOUGH.
I don't know what I can do out here in CO, but let me know . There may be a possibility someone's kid may want to march with BK (they are a total CLASS organization) and we can use the scholarship there. It is my money so I guess I can give it to who I chose.

Hey Stan, I march the Houston block every other weekend. Complete with actually holding rehearsals at Pasadena High for 2 years. The field looks exactly the same
