Comments:	I finally took my brothers' (Mike & Jim) advice and went to the Knights website - so glad I did - I think - I feel VERY old reading guest book entries from the DAUGHTERS of people I marched with. I was in from 71 to 79. First year in the American squad (too small at the time to do much else!), then the rifle line, asst drum major. I marched with Dan Potter his first year - still have some pictures of him being a gentleman on the field!! Anyone remember when we would 'take the field' with him kneeling and me curtseying? Tame by today's standards, but very revolutionary then!! I also have a picture of Fran Castro as 'Cleopatra'. I agree with everyone else - the Knights provided some of the most intense memories of my life. It even helped prepare me for a successful hitch in the Marine Corps. (USMC Drill Instructors were nothing compared to Walt Kubiak!) Drop me a line sometime - I am a little curious if I left any lasting imprint on the Knights or if I "faded into obscurity"? Cindy

Comments:	Felt nostalgic for the KNIGHTS and drum corps and just surfed in. Strangely enough, was at a Chicago Symphony Orchestra concert a few months back and ended up sitting 5 feet from Tony Kempa! Of course said hello and spent a few minutes catching up during the intermission. It was (almost) like no time had passed since I'd seen him 10+ years ago. I'm sure it would be the same if I ran into any other members from the forgotten '84 - '85 years. I also feel honored to posting just after Fran who I had the privilege of marching with in the low class low brass. In my best Mike Basso voice "Hey Fran...show us your...."

Comments:	Hello to all old friends. Thank you Julie Shepler for referring this site to me. My years in the Knights Drum & Bugle Corps were without a doubt some of the greatest moments of my life. The people that I met during this time were some of the finest people and I would still call them friends. There are several people that I have not seen or heard from in years and my life has taken several different directions in the past couple of years, but I have always remembered the times spent with you and cherrish the memories. My son Marcus is now 12 years old and in band playing percussion. My daughter Megan is 7 and she keeps stealing his sticks to try and learn how to play. Comments:	I've got 2 things to mention. 1. I apologize for the mixup with the reunion this year. The problem was that there was confusion about the time...I'm sorry, that's my fault. I will be able to do a much better job of keeping it organized this year since I won't be on tour this summer. Just so you know, the reunion is tentatively scheduled for August 18th, 2001, at 1:00 P.M. at "The Hill", Richmond Hill, Geneseo, IL. 2. Just so eveyone knows, the nearest major airport would probably be the Quad Cities Airport. If there are a lot of people flying in for the reunion next August, I might have to get in touch with the Geneseo-area people, and see if we can get something else together....like, in addition to just the get-together at "The Hill".
