Reunions

The “Big One” is over, I hope everyone had a great time. I’d like to have a reunion photo album/gallery here, once I receive photos from people, so until then, here’s some comments from people who were there.

“I am at work the day after the Reunion. Needless to say it is hard to focus on work after such an enjoyable evening at the reunion. I hope everyone that attended enjoyed it as much as I did. Although my tenure with the Knights was short, it has made lasting impacts in my life. That realization was made last night when I “stepped back in time” to look at the memorabilia and listen to the stories people had during their Knight Time. If anyone from ’89 wishes to write please do. Thanks again to Big Al for making sure I made it last night.”
- Jeff Uddin

“I just want to thank everyone who had anything to do with organizing the fantastic 40th reunion. You did an amazing job and I do hope that in another 5 to 10 years that there’s another one. I enjoyed every moment of the day and evening. There’s a very special bond that each of us have and can never be broken. I was so happy to see so many “oldies” and I will forever treasure all our good times together. Thank you for recognizing those of us who were there when it all began in the fall of 1965 and thanks to everyone for attending. It was a wonderful, emotional time for me and I truly love all that I marched with.”
- Pat “Sticky” O’Donnell Wiggim

“Thank you thank you thank you! To Scott Lawson for this web page that allows the Knights to touch my life again. To Mr. Ochs for the DVD and CD, @#%$! man-you thoroughly rock! To the reunion committee, I hope you got as much out of the reunion as you gave to me by orchestrating it, it was a huge gift. Again and again – thank you!”
- Lynn (Meloen) Warren

“Just wanted to say thankyou to all. Sunday night was a blessing. To see everyone again and to travel back in time, even for only a short while, will be a life long memory That ranks right up there with the best drum corps memories ever. I love you all and I hope we can do it again sometime.”
- Bob Barker

“Thank you to all of you who made the trip and attended the reunion. The smiles (and tears) on everyone’s faces made it all worthwhile. For the committee, this reunion, just like drum corps, was a labor of love. We all got to relive the joy of our great activity for a few hours once again. Long live the Knights!”
- Gregg Neuleib

“I just wanted to thank everyone who worked on putting the Knights reunion together. It was a wonderful evening spent with people that meant the world to me during those years. I feel like I’m still walking a couple of feet off the ground. Thanks for the great time!”
- Andrea (Lyter) Kirman

“It was so wonderful to see everyone at the reunion. Perhaps we were all too young to realize it at the time, but The Knights gave us all some very precious gifts: deep roots, strong wings and the courage to soar. Although it’s been a very, very long time… there’s always been one place where I knew, without question, that I had a home and it was great to see the whole family again this past weekend. Many thanks to all involved for putting the reunion together. In the meantime, I hope to see many of you in Madison at the finals.”
- Christian “Chris” Fauchald

“If you made it to the reunion yesterday, I’m sure you’ll agree it was a success! I didn’t attend my last two high school reunions, but I wouldn’t have missed this one for the world. Yep, it was a trip down memory lane, and that was a blast. Wow, we were so much skinnier, had more hair, less gray hair and wore so much less clothing, it was almost embarrassing! I hope you made it, and had a chance to appreciate the legacy we helped to continue. If you didn’t, maybe the next time… and I’m sure there’ll be a next time, without waiting 40 years. To the committee that worked so hard to organize and bring this off — thanks for your hard work. It was appreciated more than you’ll ever know. ”
